Fivetran in 2026

The platform we specialize in looks very different from the connector tool of a few years ago. Fivetran completed its merger with dbt Labs on June 1, 2026, so data movement and dbt transformation now come from one company. Before that it acquired Census (reverse ETL, now the data activation layer, May 2025) and Tobiko Data (SQLMesh, September 2025), and it launched the Managed Data Lake Service for landing data as Apache Iceberg on S3, ADLS, OneLake, and GCS. Pricing moved to connection-level MAR in March 2025.
